Brant Secunda is a shaman, healer and ceremonial leader in the Huichol Indian tradition of Mexico. He completed a twelve-year apprenticeship with Don José Matsuwa, the renowned Huichol Shaman who lived to be 110 years old and who adopted Brant as his grandson. Alongside other dignitaries including President Jimmy Carter, Brant co-founded the Peace University in Berlin, and is a founding member of the American Herbalists Guild and has taught at the American Holistic Medical Association Annual Conference. Mark Allen is a six-time Ironman World Champion. He has been called “The World’s Fittest Man” by Outside magazine and “The Greatest Triathlete of All Time” by Triathlete magazine. He attributes his success to his ongoing studies with Brant Secunda, who showed him how to find fitness not only in physical strength but in the power of personal spirit and balanced living. Mark and his races have been featured numerous times on major network television and in national publications; he has appeared on more than 100 popular covers worldwide.

Dr. David Biles practices biological biomimetic bioesthetic dentistry in Santa Cruz, CA. A dentist for nearly 30 years, Dr. Biles earned his master's degree in exercise physiology from UC Davis 6 months before receiving his DDS from the UCLA School of Dentistry while working nights and weekends at Northridge Hospital as a cardiopulmonary technologist in the ICU, CCU, ER, and NICU during the late 70s. He taught exercise physiology to pre-med, pre-dental, and upper division university students in a NASA and Air Force Academy supported human performance laboratory at UC Davis prior to his stint in medicine. His experiences in medicine, dentistry, and human research have given him a perspective on dentistry that few have. Dr. Biles also writes for The Connection magazine, www.theconnect.com, and is a radio talk show host on Santa Cruz's KSCO 1080 am's Perspectives Radio Show.

Jonathan Goldman is a writer, musician and teacher. He is an authority on sound healing and a pioneer in the field of harmonics. Jonathan is the author of HEALING SOUNDS: THE POWER OF HARMONICS (Inner Traditions), SHIFTING FREQUENCIES (Light Technology) THE LOST CHORD (Spirit Music) and TANTRA OF SOUND (Hampton Road), co-authored with his wife Andi. He has studied with masters of sound from both the scientific and spiritual traditions, including the Dalai Lama's Chanting Gyuto and Gyume Monks and has been empowered by the Chant Master of the Drepung Loseling Monastery to teach Tibetan Overtone Chanting. Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Film Making from Boston University and a Master's Degree in the Independent Study on Sound Healing from Lesley College. He is a lecturing member of the International Society for Music and Medicine. He has appeared on national television and radio, including Art Bellís "Coast to Coast AM" and has been featured in national periodicals including "USA Today" and "The New York Times". His annual Healing Sounds Intensive attracts participants from throughout the world. Andi Goldman, M.A., L.P.C., is a licensed psychotherapist, specializing in holistic counseling and sound therapy, the director of the Healing Sounds Seminars, and co-director of the Sound Healers Association. Shirley Gutkowski is an expert in oral healthcare. She is also co-founder of Adopt a Nursing Home, an initiative to increase oral health in dependent adults. She is a strong advocate for family dental health and she joins us today to discuss some ways that we can maintain good dental health for all members of our family from children to seniors.
