Thomas N. Seyfried is Professor of Biology at Boston College, and received his Ph.D. in Genetics and Biochemistry from the University of Illinois. Dr. Seyfried served with distinction in the United States Army’s First Cavalry Division during the Vietnam War, and received numerous medals and commendations.Dr. Seyfried published a groundbreaking treatise entitled, Cancer as a Metabolic Disease: On the Origin, Management, and Prevention of Cancer . The treatise provides extensive information showing that cancer can be best defined as a mitochondrial metabolic disease rather than as a genetic disease. This new concept has implications for the development of new non-toxic cancer therapies including the ketogenic diet.

Mary Newport, M.D. graduated from Xavier University and University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She trained in pediatrics at Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. She practiced neonatology, the care of sick and premature newborns, for thirty years and was founding medical director for two newborn intensive care units in the Tampa Bay area of Florida. More recently, she practiced at the opposite end of the spectrum, providing home hospice care and health risk assessments. In 2008, a ketogenic nutritional intervention with coconut and medium-chain triglyceride oil dramatically helped her husband Steve Newport, who had early-onset Alzheimer’s disease, resulting in nearly four better quality years. Her husband lost his battle in 2016 and Dr. Newport carries on his legacy as an author of four books and international speaker on ketones as an alternative fuel for the brain. Her fourth book Clearly Keto for Healthy Brain Aging and Alzheimer’s Prevention focuses on a whole food ketogenic Mediterranean-style diet and other lifestyle modifications to help maintain brain health and prevent Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

An MD in medical science, Dr Chaffee has conducted years of thorough research and study on devising ways to treat ailments differently and naturally, through dietary methods, physical exercise, and other lifestyle changes with scientifically supported methods. He is credited with successfully reversing multiple illnesses and reducing or even eliminating the need for medications for many hundreds of people.

Thomas Cowan, MD, has studied and written about many subjects in medicine, including nutrition, homeopathy, anthroposophical medicine, and herbal medicine. He is the author of Cancer and the New Biology of Water; Vaccines, Autoimmunity, and the Changing Nature of Childhood Illness; and Human Heart, Cosmic Heart; principal author of The Fourfold Path to Healing; and coauthor (with Sally Fallon) of The Nourishing Traditions Book of Baby and Child Care. Dr. Cowan has served as vice president of the Physicians’ Association for Anthroposophic Medicine and is a founding board member of the Weston A. Price Foundation. He also writes the “Ask the Doctor” column in Wise Traditions in Food, Farming, and the Healing Arts (the Weston A. Price Foundation’s quarterly magazine), has lectured throughout the United States and Canada. He is the author of Cancer and the New Biology of Water.

Lauren Brisbane is the Director of QCamel on the Sunshine Coast, which was the first camel dairy in Australia to produce pasteurised camel milk and is the world’s only certified organic camel dairy. She wrote and published a two year study in 2009 Camels in Queensland Opportunities for Diversification. Lauren was the Chair and a founding member of the Australian Camel Industry Association in 2010 – 2017. She advises both Australian Federal and State Governments on the development of the camel industry in Australia and NGO’s on industry matters. She lives on the Sunshine Coast with her husband of 27 years, 3 children and a herd of over 120 camels.
