Brant Secunda is a shaman, healer and ceremonial leader in the Huichol Indian tradition of Mexico. He completed a twelve-year apprenticeship with Don José Matsuwa, the renowned Huichol Shaman who lived to be 110 years old and who adopted Brant as his grandson. Dr. David Biles practices biological biomimetic bioesthetic dentistry in Santa Cruz, CA. A dentist for nearly 30 years, Dr. Biles earned his master's degree in exercise physiology from UC Davis 6 months before receiving his DDS from the UCLA School of Dentistry while working nights and weekends at Northridge Hospital as a cardiopulmonary technologist in the ICU, CCU, ER, and NICU during the late 70s. He taught exercise physiology to pre-med, pre-dental, and upper division university students in a NASA and Air Force Academy supported human performance laboratory at UC Davis prior to his stint in medicine. His experiences in medicine, dentistry, and human research have given him a perspective on dentistry that few have.
